According to Chosun Ilbo (a South Korean newspaper) cited an unidentified executive from within Samsung Electronics told Chosun Ilbo that Carl Icahn and hedge funds may be planning to acquire a controlling interest in Samsung Electronics. The unidentified executive also told the South Korean newspaper that the company was in the process of drawing up counter measures against such a takeover.
